Early morning update

  1. Got up at 6am this morning to get a project started at work. It shouldn't be too hard if all goes well. The first few hours will be "monitoring" for about three hours, then the real work begins.

  2. Later today a few guys will be getting together at Chris's to game for a little bit, a bday party for the boyz! :) Unfortunately, there won't be very many of us going, there are a lot of people out of town.

  3. The kids have started Awana finally and of course they are loving it. Daddy is loving it, dinner out every Friday with the wife - my favorite hobby! :) Yes, one of my biggest weaknesses, I am a glutton. That is being serious...

  4. Work was a little better. I did work a lot of hours and of course working today, but it was at least enjoyable and they let me have part of Thursday off. I worked Wednesday evening and Thursday morning from home, then took the rest of the day off...

  5. ...and went golfing!!! First time in months, maybe the 5th of the year, usually around 12x by now. First time at a real golf course too! First 9 was like I had never played before, back 9 was one of the best rounds I have ever had, so that was a good way to end the year! It was awesome weather, and we had the entire course to ourselves! I am going to try and take my boyz some time next week if I can.

  6. Terah and I like to watch movies if we can find anything good. The new Brad Pitt movie is weird, not going to recommend it. There are NO bad parts and no language that I can recall. It does have a lot of "God" in some form (Catholics). But it is plain WEIRD. Weird video shooting, lots of creation video like you would see in a documentary, and very hard to follow. And like most movies, a very tough relationship between Dad and Son...sad. Good acting, but hard to pay attention with the moving cameras.

  7. We are doing our first "real" recall that I know of where the FDA is involved. We sent some product out the door with no lables on it and it has egg in it which is an allergen. The FDA is putting out a national notice, but not going to hit the national media as far as we know. It is food service items, so it could be dangerous if they use the product. Had it been retail, they probably would not use the product as there is no label - but who knows what the foodservice customers do with it in the back kitchens.

  8. September will probably be the worst month of the year for the company financially. Not sure if that means more layoffs. The good news is they are projecting a good end to the year. We are going to have to pass a physical to keep our insurance premiums from climbing yet again - another $60 a month. No I don't want ObamaCare, but let's fix what we do have, the only thing it is good for now is the major catastrophes. Otherwise, I could do better putting money away myself.

  9. Lots of wolf stories now that it is hunting season - a few kills this year already. We have our own wolf story that continues to develope form Wolf People that live up above us: http://www.bonnercountydailybee.com/news/local/article_bbb282be-f3cf-11e0-ae04-001cc4c002e0.html

  10. Drove by a bad accident yesterday in Sagle as they were extracting the body from the car. It was still there three hours later. There was a high-speed chase the other night past our house after a domestic dispute that ended somewhere over by Heidi and Jay's where he went off the road and shot himself. Apparently he took a shot at a car near Wolf People on his way by...? Looking for more details. http://www.bonnercountydailybee.com/news/local/article_f4302a30-f562-11e0-8911-001cc4c03286.html
